The Florida Vocal Association is sad to report that Dr. Lori Lovell, our dear friend and colleague, ended her battle with cancer on Wednesday, August 30, 2017, at the age of 45. As the Director of Choral Activities at Maitland Middle School, Lori was loved and respected by her students and colleagues.
Lori was a special force in the lives of thousands of students, a musical blessing through her teaching and performing across the country, and a personal inspiration through her determined spirit and passion. Join us in celebrating Lori’s life and legacy with a special musical memorial service on Sunday, September 17. Click here for information.
Dr. Lovell held the degrees Doctor of Musical Arts in Vocal Performance from the University of Nevada – Las Vegas, Master of Music in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy from Ohio University, and Bachelor of Arts from The Ohio State University in Voice Performance.
