Wes Rainer went into his eternal rest early in the morning of January 6, 2018. His sudden passing is felt by his students, colleagues, and all who cared for and loved him. Wes, the past FMEA All-State Coordinator and FVA Clinics Committee Chair, was the first Director of Choral Activities at Seminole Ridge High School in Loxahatchee, the program he established in 2005. He was loved and well-respected by his students and colleagues.
He held both the Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees from his beloved University of Wisconsin – Madison. In addition to his teaching, where he impacted the lives of thousands of students, he also served as FVA District 14 Chairman, and most recently, served FMEA as a coordinator for the annual conference. He also volunteered at all of the FVA district and state events, and many of the FBA events, as well.
All who came in contact with Wes were blessed by his friendship and collegiality. The world will not be the same without his presence.
A celebration of life service is still being planned, and details will be shared once they become available.
